The West Virginia University Department of Neuroscience is seeking applications for a Research Specialist Senior. This position is responsible for supporting a variety of projects in partnership with neuroscientists specializing in Human Performance research.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Oxidative Stress blood based biomarkers and correlations to Photobiomodulation Therapy.
Gold Standard Testing of Photobiomodulation therapy technologies
Saliva based stress marker testing in West Virginia University athletics
Concussion tracking via Force Plate and Accelerometry analysis
Creation of workload algorithms combining External and Internal Load technologies (WVU Athletics, Detroit Lions)
Assist in Roadmap of HPIC Projects
Master's degree in related discipline
Two (2) years of experience in data analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse types of people
Ability to create, annotate and maintain detailed records
Demonstrated ability to operate a computer utilizing various software packages, including creating spreadsheets, charts, graphs, etc.
Knowledge of scientific research methods
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
