Faculty Cardiology Section, San Francisco VA Health Care System
The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) are seeking applications for junior-level research faculty positions in Cardiology at the SFVAHCS. The SFVAHCS Cardiology program is one of 3 sites within the UCSF Cardiology program.
These individuals will be appointed in the Adjunct or In Residence Professor series at UCSF and report directly to the Division Chief of Cardiology at SFVAHCS.
Qualified applicants will have an MD, current medical license and be board-certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases. The ideal candidate will be suitable for academic appointment at UCSF at the level of Assistant Professor of Medicine or higher. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated clinical excellence, as well as aptitude for basic, translational or clinical investigation. In particular, the ideal candidate must show strong potential for extramurally funded research, and will be expected to have obtained, or be able to apply competitively for, career-development awards.
