VA CENTRAL CALIFORNIA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (VACCHCS) MEDICINE SERVICE/DEPARTMENT OF INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN – Pulmonary and Critical Care
California- Department of Veterans Affairs California Health Care System, Fresno, CA, affiliated with University of California- San Francisco Fresno Medical Residency Program, leader in health care quality, is recruiting for a part-time faculty member in the pulmonary/critical care department. This position is in the department of Medicine Service, VA Central California Healthcare System (VACCHCS). The successful candidate is expected to supervise and teach students, residents and fellows in pulmonary and critical care and provide patient care. VA provides patient centered care, delivered by engaged, collaborative teams in an integrated environment that supports learning and continuous improvement. We are looking for a provider with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills who will provide the highest quality veteran-centered care. Candidate must have completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care. The physician must be board certified in internal medicine and board eligible or certified in pulmonary and critical care medicine. The physician must meet criteria to hold a faculty appointment with UCSF at the time of starting. Candidate must have a medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent) and must be eligible to obtain a US medical license. Fresno is located 3 hours south of San Francisco and just 2 hours from 3 national parks, including Yosemite, and year-round recreation.
