The Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery is now recruiting for a Junior or Assistant Specialist. Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service.
Specialists appointed at junior rank must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a field related to Biomedicine. Specialists appointed at the Assistant rank must possess a master’s degree or five years of experience in the relevant specialization. Candidates must have expertise in one of the following areas: recombinant DNA technology, PCR, protein biochemistry, or flow cytometry.
All requirements are to be met by the commencement of employment.
