Provide high-level professional support and administrative assistance to the Office of Legal Counsel, including tracking of legal matters, legal bills and e-discovery communications.
Manage the General Counsel’s work calendar and schedule.
Assist the Office of Legal Counsel to accomplish department objectives and goals, including annual reporting requirements.
Assist with research and compliance reviews conducted by the
Develop compliance databases and assist with technical upgrades to case management and other compliance tracking obligations and projects.
Analyze large amounts of data and draft internal memoranda summarizing findings.
Support university employees with immigration and visa applications.
Assist attorneys in preparing, processing and filing of legal documents.
Maintain and update the Office of Legal Counsel’s Fordham webpage.
Respond to subpoenas and employee and student records requests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or 3 years’ experience in a legal environment required.
Proficiency in Google docs, Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint required.
Requires excellent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion in handling confidential and/or sensitive materials.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with University constituents are essential.
