Position Summary: Serves as the program coordinator and liaison between the University of California and Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC) in administering the CalMedForce Graduate Medical Education program -- a statewide, $40 million grant program funded by Proposition 56, approved by voters in 2016 to sustain, retain, and expand California residency positions in primary care and emergency medicine. Under the direction of the Vice President for Health Sciences or her designee, the Project Analyst serves as the primary contact for internal UC stakeholders and works closely with the Graduate Medical Education Director at PHC to meet the requirements of the program. Uses skills as an experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs, and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation.

Coordinates efforts of a variety of external and internal stakeholders within the University of California to coordinate, gather, assemble, and communicate information as it pertains to the administration of the program
Provides oversight and technical guidance to PHC on agreed upon work plan deliverables
Convenes meetings between UC and PHC and any other related meetings that support the success of the program.
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
At least 3 years progressively responsible experience managing projects.
Proven ability to independently set priorities, handle deadlines and manage conflicting demands with limited supervision, but also works as part of a diverse and dynamic team.
Strong writing and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex and technical information in a clear and concise manner for multiple audiences.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to build strong working relationships with constituents at all levels across and external to the University. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent analytical, project management, and independent problem-solving skills.
Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common organization-specific computer applications. Required
Advanced degree in public health, public policy or other related fields preferred.
Health policy, workforce development, or grants management experience preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of policy issues and state and national trends relevant to the University's health sciences programs and academic medical centers.
Experience performing policy analysis and/or regulatory, statutory, and contract interpretation.
Understanding of the state and federal legislative processes. Preferred
