Description Bellevue College is seeking qualified candidates to fill two (2) vacancies Custodial 5 positions for Swing Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) and Graveyard Shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am). These positions direct and supervisethe custodial staff and reportto the Operations Manager of Campus Operations.
The employee in this position supervisesand directs the implementation of work processes and management systems to ensure that work is performed in a timely and efficient manner according to appropriate guidelines, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. The Custodial 5 ensures the effective and economical use of personnel, equipment, and facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL DUTIES
Inspects buildings to determine if custodial needs are required and assigned work accordingly. Order supplies, equipment, and materials required with Operation Manager's approval. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and agencies in accordance to the Campus Operations and Bellevue College. Interviews, selects, reviews, trains, and evaluates custodial staff. The position also recommends promotion and discipline; Maintains records and writes reports. Assigns, instructs and schedules the custodial personnel of the Campus Operations. Maintains communication and relationship with other campus OPS personnel, departments, faculty, staff, students and management. Determines staffing needs for buildings; oversees activities in assigned area of responsibility. Performs custodial tasks, or other duties if needed.
One year of supervisory experience in facilities management or a related field. Custodial/Janitorial experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability towork effectively with diverse populations. Possesses validWashington Valid driver license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of management experience in a facilities department on a college or university campus or a related field. Experience in working with unionized labor. Experience working with multiple locations.
