This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Student Financial Services and Bursar. The Accounts Clerk Specialist provides clerical and support service to the office of the Bursar/Student Accounts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: tracking, organizing and documenting students receiving contract payments and outside scholarships from external agencies, frequent correspondence responding to telephone, mail, e-mail and in-person inquiries from students, multiple departments across the campus community and outside agencies; preparing accurate letters and billing statements to outside organizations; responding to and providing information requested by students and outside agencies paying particular attention to detail and format required; posting payments from students, outside agencies and other university departments within the TouchNet Cashiering System and Banner. In addition, the Clerk will track all outstanding items and follow-up as appropriate to ensure timely and accurate processing is completed; maintain and update the procedures for all tasks; process registration and program changes, account adjustments, payments and financial aid related transactions. May perform other duties not specifically identified above but which require the same degree of skills and which are normally included within the above job title.
Work Schedule: Monday â€" Friday, 9am â€" 5pm. Overtime required during peak periods. Vacation may be limited during peak periods.
