Applicants are invited to apply for a postdoc position at Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies to join the Science of Science and Computational Discovery (SOS+CD) Lab (https://scienceofscience.org) led by Assistant Professor Daniel Acuna.
This is a grant sponsored, full-time position, with the initial duration of one year with the possibility of an extension for a second year.
The successful candidate will join the NSF-funded project “Collaborative Research: Social Dynamics of Knowledge Transfer Through Scientific Mentorship and Publication” seeking to understand the role of mentorship on the career of scientists. Specifically, the purpose of this study is to characterize the impact of demographic variables—such as gender, ethnicity and socio-economic background—on the outcome of scientific training.
