The University of California, San Francisco, Division of Cardiology, is seeking to hire an excellent candidate to serve as Chief of Interventional Cardiology for a rapidly growing academic cardiology unit. Candidates should be board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology and have the expertise to direct and work closely with administrative leadership to oversee the operations of our multi-faceted Interventional Cardiology practice. The successful candidate will work closely with the Cardiology Division Chief and with other Division, Departmental, and Health System leaders in developing and executing strategies for continued growth of the interventional cardiology practice, as well as in furthering research and the training mission of the Interventional Cardiology section. The candidate will be an outstanding clinician who is either a nationally recognized or an upcoming clinical and academic leader in Interventional Cardiology.
Applicants must hold MD (or equivalent degree), MD/PhD (or equivalent degree), or MD/MPH (or equivalent degree) degree(s) and be qualified for appointment at the Associate or the Professor level.
The successful candidate will be expected to continue the Interventional Cardiology program’s growth and ensure that we provide world-class service to our patients in the Bay Area and beyond. Faculty recruit will perform duties as an attending physician in the cardiac catheterization lab, the cardiology inpatient and consult service, and will also have an ambulatory practice.
