The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, and the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago seek a full-time tenure track faculty member at the rank of Professor.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop and lead a major research program in child and adolescent psychiatry. This will include developing their own line of research, collaboration with others at Lurie Children’s Hospital and Northwestern University, and engaging investigative teams nationally and internationally. Experience in the basic neuroscience, translational and clinical research is expected, as is the capacity to obtain federal and private foundation research funding. The research program will include a research education and training program for trainees and early career scientists. In so far as clinical research is a component of the candidate line of research it is expected that they will engage in a program of clinical care.
Qualified candidates will be an MD or MD, PhD with extensive research and research program development and leadership; history of successful local, national and international, research collaborations; success mentoring early career scientists as evidenced by an outstanding record of publication.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
