The Ready to Work (RTW) Program serves SCC students who are receiving Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (K-TAP) benefits in the following Kentucky counties: Adair, Casey, Clay, Clinton, Cumberland, Jackson, Knox, Laurel, Lincoln, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Russell, Wayne, and Whitley.
The program can help with:
Paid work experience on and off campus
Counseling, advising, and mentoring
Referrals to community resources
Job references and referrals
Job readiness, life skills, and academic success seminars
Types of Jobs:
On-campus: working in student service offices, labs, office assistant, testing monitor, building maintenance, and various other campus departments. Off-campus: working in local elementary schools, small businesses, senior citizens centers, as thrift store attendants, in non-profit businesses, and various community service positions.

Kentucky State Law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
