Assistant Professor - Cardiac Surgery, Memphis - 19000000VC
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Medicine, Division of Cardiac Surgery of the Department of Surgery in Memphis is recruiting a Board Eligible/Board Certified fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon.
Additional training in minimally invasive valve cardiac surgery, TAVR, and/or heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support devices is desirable . We are seeking a surgeon with a commitment to providing quality clinical care and teaching. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and expected to contribute to the growth and development of multidisciplinary disease-based programs. Academic rank and tenure will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
We are actively involved in medical student and resident education and plan on developing an ACGME-accredited Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship program in the near future. The Division also has an active research program and is committed to supporting the successful candidate in developing his/ her research interests.
Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon and able to receive a regular Tennessee license.
