Job details: The UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health is seeking applicants for core academic hospitalist positions. Our goal is to provide these new faculty members with clinical experiences that match their interests while also creating opportunities to explore and develop a path for academic success. Most new faculty positions combine clinical experiences on the teaching and direct care services with protected time for faculty development and pursuit of academic interests. These academic interests can include (but are not limited to): medical education, quality improvement, patient safety, high-value care, global health, informatics, and social medicine.
To best meet the needs of our diverse patient population, trainees, and the city of San Francisco, the Division of Hospital Medicine is specifically seeking applicants who demonstrate a unique contribution and commitment to diversity. Successful candidates for faculty positions will be graduates of excellent internal medicine programs with strong references. Successful candidates will have evidence of or potential for outstanding teaching and demonstrate potential for academic success.

Candidates must possess an MD degree (or equivalent degree), be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, and be eligible for licensure in the State of California at the time of hire.
