The Cancer Pain Research Laboratory at New York University offers an Associate Research Scientist position in neuroscience/pain research. The laboratory focuses on peripheral neurobiologic mechanisms underlying cancer pain.
Duties will include: Patch clamp recordings and calcium imaging of cultured cells, transfection of recombinant ion channels and pharmacologic manipulation of receptors and ion channels. The applicant must be self-motivated and demonstrate intellectual independence.
The position is open to individuals with a PhD. The candidate must have a background in electrophysiology and possess excellent oral communication and scientific writing skills in English.
