Temporary Lecturer in Civil and Environmental Engineering
Position Description Temporary positions are anticipated for lecturers in Civil and Environmental Engineering. A list of courses that may be available during 2020-2021 academic years is attached. Appointment Date: Several appointments may be made each year. A selected candidate will be assigned only one course in any quarter. Service dates are:
Fall Quarter 2019: October 1, 2020 - December 31, 2020 Winter Quarter 2020: January 1, 2021 - March 31, 2021 Spring Quarter 2020: April 1, 2021- June 30, 2021
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach one or more lecture and/or laboratory courses in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering during the academic year but not more than a single course in any quarter.
Minimum professional degree requirement is a Master's, or preferably a PhD, in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree
Evidence of teaching excellence or potential for excellence, and a commitment to quality undergraduate education.
Salary and appointment level will be commensurate with experience and course assignment
Interested persons should submit curriculum vita, and names of three references, identify the courses that they are interested in teaching, and submit details of their scholarly or professional attainments and teaching evaluations (if available). An on-line application process will be implemented to facilitate document submittal and review.
