Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery – Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco, is seeking a full time, academic, surgeon for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Candidates must be Board Certified/eligible. A microsurgical fellowship including training in lymphedema surgery is also prerequisite for this position.
Primary clinical responsibilities will be in the area of breast reconstruction and microsurgery for lymphedema, as well as general reconstructive surgery. Development of and participation in a lymphedema treatment center will be an essential part of these responsibilities.
Research productivity is expected and protected time for research will be provided. The candidate should have a proven track record in clinical discovery and health services research with publications in these areas.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students, and will be expected to be active participants in the Department’s residency training and educational programs.
