Director, Student Success Center
The Academic Counseling Center for Excellence in the Social Sciences (ACCESS) is a student support, advising, academic assistance, retention, and service-oriented unit in the Division of Academic Affairs. Assisting students from admission through graduation, our mission is to be the single point of entry to provide resources and non-major related advising for new and continuing students to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve academic success and graduate in a timely manner.
In consultation with the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Student Success in the College of Social Sciences, the Director directs and supervises the employees and activities of the Center, helps shape the strategic direction of our student success initiatives, and is responsible for outreach to a wide range of campus and community partners. Under limited supervision, the Director leads, develops, coordinates, implements, and assesses unit activities, services, and programs to ensure effective and timely student support. As chair of the College Advising Council, the Director also coordinates advising services with all departments in the College of Social Sciences.
