Clinical Research Education Program Manager- MED: Clinical and Translational Center- Sacramento Campus
The Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) established an academic home for clinical research to transform the clinical and translational research enterprise with the goal of building research teams of the future to improve human health. Comprised by several distinct scientific and educational programs, as well as shared resources and clinical facilities to enhance and support the clinical research programs at UC Davis, the CTSC provides investigators with tools to foster clinical and translational research.

Responsibilities The Clinical Research Education Program Manager reports to the Director of the CTSC Clinical Trials Office and will coordinate and maintain education programs and outreach related to the conduct of clinical trials. This position is responsible for Education and Training program development and oversight, setting and meeting milestones and deliverables, and providing creative solutions to fulfill programmatic needs. Specific duties include educational needs assessment, gap analysis, generation of training presentations, project management, data mining and analysis, creation of technical and marketing materials and website administration. This individual will work on problems of diverse scope and complexity including curricula development, selection of training methodologies, delivering training and program and participant evaluations. Position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of educational and training offerings to enhance quality of clinical studies, including GCP related quality systems.
Bachelor's degree in health education, public health, business or related area and/or equivalent experience/ training.
Extensive years of experience in a clinical research position.
Experience as a clinical research coordinator or clinical research associate is strongly preferred.
Extensive Experience conceptualizing, developing, writing, editing, proofreading, and implementing print, course materials, training programs, and various other documents in multiple formats for target audience, using appropriate grammar and language.
Extensive Experience conducting training, organizing and presenting large and small training seminars, conferences, presentations, and workshops to adult learners, including all required logistical details.
Knowledge and experience interpreting federal regulations, state statutes and institutional practices regarding research involving human subjects.
Advanced experience in performing clinical research quality assurance audits and reviews.
Verbal, written and interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to present complex technical and legal materials in a clear, concise and professional manner.
Strong Analytical skills to identify and implement specific project and process improvement strategies.
Experience working with relational databases for information organization, exchange, storage, and retrieval of human subjects records.
Working knowledge of federal and state regulations, GCP guidelines, HIPAA, institutional policies, and SOPs for conduct of human subjects' research in an academic environment.
Experience in the UC Davis clinical research environment is desirable.
Ability to travel to meetings as necessary for CTSC and IRB associated business and projects, and to enhance professional development.
Special Requirements. Must be able to occasionally work outside of regular business hours (evenings/weekends) and in other locations for program events. Provide own transportation to travel off-site to conduct training sessions, attend training sessions for development and attend meetings and seminars. Traveling nationally for up to a week at a time. California drivers' license; participate in DMV Pull Notice Program. This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
