The Division of Hematology and Oncology and the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center have grown to be one of the largest divisions in the Department of Internal Medicine with 35 faculty members, including 21 clinician-scientists, with expertise that covers the breadth of hematology and medical oncology. Disease areas of particular clinical and research expertise include thoracic, genitourinary, breast, hematological, and gastrointestinal malignancies. Division faculty are also leaders in hemophilia, sickle cell, and thrombosis research. The division houses the faculty leaders of the Cancer Control, Regenerative Medicine, and PET imaging programs.

Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioners in the therapeutic management of patients with hematology and/or oncology diseases. Independently and interdependently evaluates and manages patients assigned to their service. Understands details clinical protocols and performs tasks per protocol requirements. Education will be in the form of discussion of specific hematology and/or oncology disease treatments. Ongoing education will be provided during clinic visits. Facilitates and promotes a culture of participation in clinical trials. Required Qualifications
At least 1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Possession of valid California RN and Nurse Practitioner license.
One or more years of recent experience in clinical hematology or oncology.
DEA within 3 months of hire.
Graduation with a Master's degree, DNP or PhD in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
National NP Certification.
CITI Certification within 3 months of hire.
Current BLS and CPR.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Knowledge of current trends in nursing.

Demonstrates accountability and professionalism.
Adapts to change in a positive, professional and productive manner.
Knowledge of legal implications in clinical practice and documentation.
