This position is primarily responsible for providing high quality state-of-the-art instructional resources and support.Â
Supervise the 3-member instructional team responsible for managing and providing direct support to the introductory labs, astronomy labs and lecture demonstrations.
Provide direct support for the intermediate and advanced labs.
Provide continuity and organizational structure to the labs as assigned faculty change.
Work with faculty to direct the growth and development of the instructional labs.
Responsible for developing new lab exercises, lecture demonstrations and online resources.
Maintain all instructional instruments, equipment, and tools in functional conditions.
Collaborate with faculty to develop, revise, and upgrade experiment and lab manuals to meet studentsâ™ demands and suggestions.
Masterâ™s degree in physics, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a broad knowledge of all fields of physics.
3 years experience creating and developing quality instructional laboratory exercises suitable for the graduate and undergraduate levels.
3 years experience providing lecture demonstrations, including creating and upgrading demonstrations.
3 years experience supervising technical personnel.
Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
Criminal and Educational Background check satisfactory to Brown University.
