The Chief is responsible for providing leadership for the Division of Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics at Stony Brook Children's Hospital.
The Chief will have the goal of advancing the field of Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics through patient care, practice innovation, research and education. Responsibilities include development of research programs, teaching and participation in patient care programs appropriate to a major university. Individuals will be selected on the basis of their training, clinical experience, research potential and their commitment to teaching. Candidates must have a commitment to excellence, education, patient safety and collaboration.
The position will be full-time, faculty, academic (Associate Professor or Professor).
Required Qualifications: MD/DO Degree; Board Certified in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with research experience and interest in developing a research program. Previous Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics leadership experience is highly desired.
