Under the direction of the Department of Neurology leadership, participates in programmatic activities, which support the Medical Center's mission: quality patient care, research, education and teaching, and community service. The physician will coordinate activities within the Medical Center as they relate to Neurobehavior.
Implements Department of Neurology strategic and operational plans in regard to neurobehavioral, cognitive and memory disorders.
Programmatic responsibilities for Neurobehavior activities related to patient care and academics; leads a Neurobehavioral clinical, educational and academic program.
Creates and complies with all policies and procedures for Neurology.
Collaborates with others to improve the competitive position and market share of the Department of Neurology, and its membership, academic and private, by assisting in the initiation of business development activities and implementation of viable programs and services.
Fosters an environment that supports performance improvement activities within the medical center and provides appropriate reports.
Identifies sponsors and collaborators, initiates and leads clinical trials in neurobehavioral, cognitive and memory disorders.
Recruits and leads faculty physicians within the Neurobehavior division to optimize patient experience, physician productivity, and fiscal responsibility
Actively integrates and coordinates Neurobehavioral clinical activities throughout the Medical Center, including but not limited to the Department of Imaging, Department of Laboratory and Pathology, Division of Medicine, Geriatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Neurosurgery.
Responsible for administrating the teaching activities within the area of Neurobehavior. These activities include the appropriate educational programs for resident housestaff, Neurology fellows and attending physicians. Such activities will include teaching rounds and lectures at CSMC and affiliated institutions.
Maintains an active clinical or translational research program in Neurology and makes every effort to stimulate and support clinical or basic research efforts of interested Attending Staff members as well as those of the Department of Neurology.
Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards including quality assurance and licensure requirements within the divisions. Assist in establishing and maintaining a quality assurance program acceptable to CSMC as required by state and other agencies, which shall include a systematic review of the quality, safety, and appropriateness of services rendered.

1. Medical Degree from an accredited medical school 2. Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) 3. Unrestricted California license as Physician 4. CSMC Medical Staff Membership 5. Fellowship training in Neurobehavior or related field 6. A published author of peer reviewed articles, with ability to serve as principal or co-investigator of clinical trials 7. Leaderships skills as characterized by one who has integrity and possesses broad vision of the future of the health care industry; assertiveness in the presentation and effectiveness in selling of ideas, yet mature and sensitive to the values and expectations of a superb medical staff, trustees, management, employees, patients and other key constituents of CSMC. 8.
