Teach clinical and academic courses in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology
Manage externship placements
Initiate and develop new clinical placement sites
Instruct and supervise students in clinical practice
Engage in scholarship commensurate with the non-tenure track appointment
Contribute through university, school, departmental, and professional service activities

The Department Speech-Language Pathology at Duquesne University offers the nation's first guaranteed-seat, five-year program. Students are admitted as freshmen, earn a bachelor's degree and, after their fifth year, a master's degree. The Department's educational model supports teacher-scholars with a commitment to integrate course work, clinical education, and individualized student mentorship.
Possess a Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP)
Be eligible for state licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Have a minimum of five years of clinical experience
Have experience in clinical education of graduate students
Knowledge and experience in SLP service delivery across various settings
Knowledge and clinical experience with dysphagia, stuttering, and/or motor speech disorders
Knowledge of certification standards for speech-language pathology
