The University of California, San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to serve as the Chief of Interventional Radiology. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

The Chief position offers an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to build on the success of distinguished section and enhance collaborations between internal and external partners. The selected candidate will hold responsibility and accountability for administrative and programmatic oversight of the clinical, research educational and service activities in Interventional Radiology in alignment with the department’s strategy, vision, mission and goals. Obligations include departmental leadership and administration, delivery of high-quality interventional care for patients, stewardship of educational and research programs in Interventional Radiology, and faculty mentoring. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, and completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship training in interventional radiology (completed by appointment start date) and expertise in interventional radiology. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology and to hold a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology. These requirements are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date. Applicants must list all of these qualifications (or if pending) on their CV upon submission.
