Instructional Professor in Geographic Information Science
The Division of Social Sciences at the University of Chicago invites applications for appointment as Instructional Professor (IP), at the rank of Assistant or Associate, in Geographic Information Science (GIS) and the College. Rank and term of appointment (from one to three years) are dependent on qualifications. This is a full-time, career-track teaching position. The initial two-year appointment will begin in Academic Year 2021-22 and is renewable with opportunity for promotion. The IP will annually teach 6 quarter-long undergraduate classes, including one course in the Social Science Inquiry – Spatial Analysis core sequence and at least two courses in the current undergraduate GIS track.
