The Department of Medicine/Division of General Internal Medicine (DGIM) is seeking a UCPC Residency Program Director for a full-time faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full in the Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, and Ladder Rank Series depending on qualifications and interests.
The DGIM UCPC Residency Program Director will lead the UCSF Primary Care General Internal Medicine Track Residency Program. The Director is responsible for the strategic planning, integration, and oversight of the UCPC Residency Program activities towards meeting DGIM’s goals of training the future leaders in general internal medicine, including ultimate oversight of undergraduate medical education trainees. The Program Director will also help lead efforts to recruit and retain diverse learners; develop and implement evidence-based curricula; foster an inclusive learning experience and climate; and create and disseminate scholarship in the area of graduate medical education in academic medicine.
Requirements: • Medical degree (MD) from an accredited school • Board-certification in General Internal Medicine • At least five years of experience in a leadership role within graduate medical education
Preferred/Desirable Qualifications: • At least five years of experience with primary care education in an internal medicine residency program • Proven track record of recruiting a diverse applicant pool
