University of California, Irvine School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior
The UC Irvine Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior is accepting applications for an Adult Residency Programs Director. This position is available in either the Professor of Clinical 'X' series or the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, in the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank.
Criteria for the Professor of Clinical 'X' Series: In addition to exceptional clinical services, the incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research and intellectual contributions, provide excellent leadership, teaching and mentorship to residents and medical students, and will perform University, professional and community service relevant to the field.
Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: In addition to exceptional clinical services, the incumbent will be expected to provide excellent leadership, teaching and mentorship to residents and medical students, and will perform University, professional and community service relevant to the field. Engagement in relevant intellectual contributions and research is encouraged.
Required: M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; has or is eligible for a California Medical License and ability to successfully obtain UCIMC medical staff credentials; has approx. 3 or more years of experience as an academic faculty member in a psychiatry-based university department.
Desired: Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience, leadership and innovation skills necessary to fully design and operate Graduate Medical Education programs.
Position is dependent upon funding. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
