The Department of Accountancy in the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John's University is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at the rank of assistant professor, to begin in fall 2021. This position will be a one-year contract position, that may be renewable. Approximately 3,000 students are enrolled in the Tobin College of Business - 2,400 undergraduates and over 700 graduate students. The Department of Accountancy offers a BS in Accounting and MS degrees in the areas of Accounting; Taxation; and Risk and Financial Advisory. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to quality teaching, professional service, and scholarly activity. Competitive candidates for this position are expected to have a MS or PhD in accounting. Preference is given to candidates who hold a CPA certificate and/or other professional certifications. Teaching experience in the financial accounting, information systems, or data analytics area is preferred.
