This position is responsible for assisting with professional aspects of the Radiology services performed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Position assists with and facilitates communications among radiology attending, fellows and resident physicians, technologists, referring physicians and physician extenders.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers protocol questions from radiology technologists in an appropriate and timely manner, referring questions to staff physicians as needed.
Coordinates worklists for studies performed outside of the medical campus to be read on the medical campus.
Helps manage the turn-around times for examinations so that the reads are performed in accordance with expectations.
Serves as a liaison with technologists.
Clarifies orders from referring physicians as needed.
Calls physicians to facilitate reporting results as appropriate.
Requests additional images, reconstruction, etc. from radiology technologists as directed by staff physicians.
Helps in maintaining quality assurance of studies.
Helps serve as a liaison for technical support between Radiologists and the IT section at Washington University.
Experience in MRI/CT or patient workflow management with imaging studies.
Certified radiology technologist or bachelor’s degree related to health science.
Innovative and enthusiastic about establishing a new service.
This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Position hours are generally 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (second shift).

The hiring range for this position is $23.14 - $28.93 per hour.
