Summary: Initiate and cultivate relationships with key administrators from clinics and hospitals to develop clinical rotation sites for health professional students within the College of Health Sciences (CHS) in Iowa and surrounding states; sustain relationships with existing clinical partners through effective communication and site visits; serve as principal liaison to ensure proper data management for CHS programs according to accreditation and assessment standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prospecting / Site Development:
Identify prospective clinical rotation sites and fieldwork opportunities.
Research which healthcare institutions and other partners have teaching capacity.
Ascertain key administrators and contacts within hospitals, clinics, and facilities.
Initiate in-person meeting for assessing partnership learning environments.
Presenting student requirements for potential partnerships.
Initiate and facilitate the affiliation agreement process and onboarding requirements for clinical placements as well as fieldwork, field projects, and culminating experiences among CHS programs.
Initiate and implement a customer relationship management software (CRM).
Utilize the existing health education software to student placement (EValue or related system).
Site Maintenance / Development:
Maintain and advance existing student clinical rotation site and fieldwork partnerships.
Appraise details of relationship history.
Restore and revitalize day-to-day interactions with key administrative and provider contacts.
Broaden and expand critical and emerging partners through site visits.
Travel to sites needing face-to-face visits, participate in virtual site visits as indicated, in coordination with each CHS program’s site visit plans.
Promote visibility of the program amidst increasing competitors.
Underscore the importance of a relational rather than transactional partnership model.
Assist programs within CHS, as assigned by the direct supervisor, with ongoing data analysis in coordination with the CHS Instructional Design & Data Management team.
Maintain on-going program clinical site and fieldwork evaluation processes to ensure quality of teaching at each clinical site and facility.
Provide continuous analysis and ongoing evaluation of clinical rotation, fieldwork, and program data, as assigned.
Work cooperatively with marketing to draft, create, and produce promotional materials for program use, including printed and electronic materials.
Manage reports to the assessment committee and clinical team as a result of careful data analysis.
Access and analyze accreditation self-study report documents (annually as needed).
Participate in and successfully complete all University required training including, but not limited to discrimination/harassment and code of conduct.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned relating to the success and betterment of the CHS programs.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in communication and marketing (health related field preferred). Health care related experience preferred.
Essential Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, ability to learn other software relevant to duties. Knowledge of customer service standards and ability to use them effectively with internal and external constituencies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, students, preceptors, and the general public. Ability to reason & analyze. Knowledge of statistical software to include technology skills. Ability to show initiative, organize workflow, manage one or more projects, and handle frequent interruptions. Ability to manage time and project priorities effectively and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and department records. Current valid driver’s license required. Office setting & travel to hospitals and clinical offices in the community, arranging own travel accommodations, as needed. Must be able to exercise good judgment in making various decisions related to the functioning of the department. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality required. Experience in working in a professional and cooperative manner with a variety of people both within and external to DMU. Experience working in a team environment as well as independently.
