The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis Health, located in Sacramento, California, seeks to hire a full-time Transplant Surgeon at the assistant, associate or full professor level in the Health Science Clinical Professor, Clinical X or In-Residence series; dependent upon experience and qualification. Expectations of a Clinical X and In-Residence series is to engage in teaching, research, service and clinical work, while expectations of faculty in the HSCP series are primarily clinical and include teaching, service and scholarly and/or creative activities.
The selected candidate will have a strong interest in kidney, pancreas and liver transplantation and engage in clinical activities that include adult and pediatric transplantation. The individual would be incorporated into a practice that includes laparoscopic nephrectomy, dialysis access, and a variety of general surgical procedures. The selected individual will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching, research, and university service dependent on the chosen academic series.
Basic Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess a Medical Degree, be board eligible or certified in Surgery. The ideal candidate should be fully trained in an American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) accredited fellowship program. All candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.
Additional Qualifications: The candidate must acquire a CA Medical License before the appointment start date.
