Advertised Job Summary:
Maintains and follows a safe, productive, cost effective comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance program for reliable operations related to all campus wide high voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to building, energy plant, manholes, tunnels and direct bury electrical systems by receiving work orders; communicating with the supervisor, planning, inspecting, verifying, communicating, and problem solving assigned facility electrical issues; and assisting with ensuring that all facility high voltage systems are in safe working order and compliant with national and local codes and regulations while exhibiting professionalism in conduct, appearance, and work practices.
Installs, repairs and maintains existing high voltage electrical distribution systems(s), including but not limited to high voltage cable, switches, transformers, terminations and test equipment.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma and 5 years experience in specialized trades area; or in a diversified building or vehicle maintenance, or construction activity.
Driver’s License required. Must be able to obtain a CDL License with Haz Mat Endorsement within six (6) months of employment.
Must have strong knowledge of high voltage distribution systems and the effects of work actions.
