Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates residency application processing and recruitment events; maintains database and files; coordinates screening, tracking and responding to residency inquiries; interviews with faculty, and applications; prepares acknowledgement letters and application packets; coordinates applicant lodging reservations; prepares interview itineraries; hosts applicants.
Assists applicants and staff with arrangements for start of residency including notifying residents of orientation, securing credentialing, immigration and visa administrative support, security identification badges, and schedules; coordinates training and testing activities; assists with house staff contracts and required documents; coordinates and supervises annual major projects including resident graduations and recruitment events.
Assists with various schedules, orientations, and preparations for site visits; prepares payroll and monitors professional usage days; assists with assessment administration and observer paperwork; verifies resident education and residency component completion; monitors residents evaluation completion.
Assists in developing orientation course for new residents; develops and provides orientation materials; presents overview of administrative procedures to new residents; maintains communications with residents during training programs.
Assists with the development, distribution, and updates of schedules, including neurology call schedule; prepares and distributes committee meeting agendas; serves as a member of residency training committees; schedules meeting rooms; takes meeting minutes and distributes to members.
Proctors Resident in Training Examination (RITE) testing; maintains security of test materials. Updates resident database such as ACGME Web Ads, GMETrack, and New Innovations.
Updates and distributes resident rotation schedules; verifies completion of residency components/program; monitors residents evaluations for rotations, supervision, and courses; verifies past and current resident experiences for hospital privileges and operative endorsements; verifies current resident education for certificate preparation and board eligibility; maintains teaching files for faculty who participate in teaching and supervising residents.
