Answers inquiries by phone regarding past-due accounts, refund request and insurance questions; collect outstanding balances due; set up budget plans and send out charity applications; work with patient/payor in three way call so patient completely understands their portion of the billing statement; collect and post credit card payments; verify accuracy of patient demographics, verify insurance coverage and update insurance; process credit card payments via a phone call from patient and work with clinical departments to verify services were rendered appropriately.
Liaison for pre-collect; work ETM agency view monthly; update account and FSC when agency has resolved the accounts to finished for invoices and standard for account status.
Handle all legal requests; print ledgers; attach avadavat and have it notarized for attorneys.
Work bankruptcy accounts, risk management, and customer service holding accounts; return mail; send TPRs to departments regarding patient disputes.
Prepare price estimates for surgeries and contact patients for pre-payment of their surgery.
Performs other duties as assigned.
