Financial Analysis Manager â“ Accounting and Analysis sought by Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. 40 hrs/wk. Duties: Deliver meaningful, timely, data analytics relating to SLUCARE funds flow, physician compensation and productivity, academic affiliation related proformas, and other school of medicine academic and research accounting and funds flow in compliance with gaap accounting and healthcare disciplines. This requires familiarity with accounting and development of policies, process and controls. This role will work with the workday team to refine the new accounting system (workday go live July 1) and will integrate with other accounting software tools to replace the current manual processes. Identify financial operational problems and performance improvement opportunities. Apply and enhance metrics and key indicators to track financial and productivity progress/ compliance and identify root causes for poor metrics and work with leadership to develop solutions work with it resources to ensure the maintenance of a reliable database to support the faculty compensation data and analytics needs; including the timely, accurate and consistent generation of meaningful productivity and compensation data, annual faculty charter development, modeling, reporting and the support of compensation strategies for leadership evaluation proactively analyze data to answer key questions from SLUCARE team, school of medicine faculty or department business managers on what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity. Creates and maintains rich interactive accounting financial visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources. Works directly with department business managers and faculty leadership to interpret financial trends and faculty compensation information. Supports the preparation of SLUCARE funds flow, and develops a reliable system to evaluate ongoing performance; including supporting rationale for adjustments, as identified, to match revenue/expense or correct compensation funding provides data and analytic support for the annual academic affiliation agreement; including thoughtful financial analysis and proposed decisions based on financial modeling. Documents and builds accounting processes and financial controls; including supporting it in the use of automation and accounting software to improve financial reporting in workday and related modeling and analyses becomes the center of excellence (COE lead) and proactively educates and manages faculty communication; as it relates to the compensation plan, charter reporting and funds flow. Responsible to present the compensation funds flow and productivity results to faculty and leadership with confidence and in open forum sessions, as needed. Min. Requirements: Masters degree in accounting or Masters degree in business and administration with 4 years of experience in accounting; and CISA (certified information systems auditor) experienced in data innovation and automation. Skills: 4 years of experience using Workday, COGNOS, MS Access, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Power BI, Excel, Powerpoint, Tableau, Alteryx and Business Objects.
