The Office of Medical Education (OME) provides management and oversight of the required medical school curriculum, including courses, clerkships, medical student scholarship, assessment, programs, and evaluation. OME is currently seeking a Practice of Medicine (POM) Year 2 Education Manager (Student Services Officer 1), reporting to the POM Administrative Director. Under the general direction of POM directors and associate directors, the Year 2 Education Manager will provide comprehensive program management for the second-year POM course in the pre-clerkship curriculum.

Provide comprehensive program management for the second-year POM course.
Partner with course directors and faculty topic leads throughout course development and execution, including developing the objectives, content, activities, supporting materials and evaluations to create impactful educational sessions.
Track and manage complex student schedule pathways to ensure completion of course requirements.
Effectively communicate with medical and physician assistant students about course scheduling and requirements, status updates, and action steps needed.
Effectively communicate with outside vendors (Project Prepare) and primary stakeholder groups (CISL, MSPA program, E4C program) to deliver required curriculum.
Recruit faculty, patients, and other individuals to support course session objectives.
Recruit and supervise TAs
Effectively communicate priorities and updates to varied audiences and leadership levels.
Manage timelines, communication and logistics for successful execution of programs.
Develop budgets for course resource needs and track to ensure that programs operate within financial parameters set forth in the approved budget.
Manage financial transactions related to course sessions, including vendor contract payments, supplies purchasing, patient payments, reimbursements, and purchasing card verifications.
Analyze and review course evaluation data and student feedback to provide curricular improvement recommendations to faculty leads.
Provide project management support to POM's operational and strategic initiatives.

Master's degree in relevant field (e.g. education, evaluation).
Knowledge of medical education, including emerging innovations at the local, regional, and national levels.
Familiarity with learning management and curriculum tools (e.g., Canvas, B-Line, Qualtrics, MedHub).
Prior experience working in higher education.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic analysis and problem solving skills.
Customer service skills.
Relevant computer systems/technology experience.
Understanding of financial transactions.
Ability to learn and understand compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.
Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks.
Occasionally stand, walk, twist, use fine manipulation, grasp, use a telephone, write by hand, sort and file paperwork, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
