Ohio Wesleyan University (www.owu.edu) is a selective, private, undergraduate liberal arts, residential institution founded in 1842 and is located just 20 miles north of Columbus. Ohio Wesleyan University’s Woltemade Center for Economics, Business, and Entrepreneurship is currently seeking a part-time Administrative Coordinator. The position is 20 hours per week with some flexibility during the academic year (August-May), and is a part time, 9- month, hourly position without benefits, reporting directly to the Administrative Director.
The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business, and Entrepreneurship’s mission is to enhance programs and provide real-world opportunities to create future generations of business and world leaders. The Woltemade Center provides unique opportunities to students within the Economics and Business Department and across all campus majors and disciplines, serving as a catalyst in the development of interdisciplinary programs, across the University.
The role of the Administrative Coordinator is to provide administrative services for The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship. Regular duties include; spreadsheet and database management, calendar management, word processing, creation of documents, for program promotion, program and event planning, and arranging travel.
Additional duties will include, but are not limited to;
Maintain accurate and up to date files and records
Assist in budgetary matters and invoices
Plan, promote and manage events, receptions, dinners and lectures
Organize study leaning trips and generate itineraries
Compile and distribute Board Reports and correspondence
Transcribe Board minutes
Collaborate with students, faculty, and alumni to effectively manage programs
Develop marketing materials for programs and scholarships
Coordinate EMF student board activities
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Administrative and Faculty Directors
Qualifications: High School degree with a minimum of two years administrative experience; college degree in business, marketing, HR related field is preferred. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, and ability to work as a member of a team are vital. Experience working with college students and /or in an academic environment is preferred. Computer literacy; intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office and Excel. Excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation and proof reading skills are required.
