This position will be based on our campus in Cambridge, MA. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic this position will be remote until further notice.
We are seeking an Events Applications Coordinator on the Resources Team within Harvard Alumni Affairs and Development.
Alumni Affairs and Development (AA&D) comprises the University Development Office (UDO), Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Development, AA&D Resources, and the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA). There is a unique relationship between the University and the FAS fundraising operations, resulting from a long history in which University fundraising ultimately grew out of College fundraising.
AA&D Resources AA&D Resources encompasses teams that support all units across AA&D plus all schools and units across the University. AA&D Resources includes Technology and Support Services, Business Process and Operations, Alumni and Development Services (ADS), Administration and Finance, Events, Communications Creative Services, Research and Prospect Management, Human Resources, and the AA&D Talent Program.
Works with stakeholders to build, update and troubleshoot new and existing event registration forms using Certain Events, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Drupal.
Provides end-user support for event registration forms.
Collaborates with business stakeholders to define and document simple event registration workflows.
Develops an understanding of underlying data, data structures, and system integrations to ensure data is captured correctly in forms to facilitate business processes and event analytics.
Complies with standards, best practices, and policies defined for the team.
Writes and executes test plans that validate the accuracy of data capture, data integrations, payments, and general form functionality to ensure delivery of high-quality event registration forms.
Tests event registration forms to ensure compliance with ADA accessibility standards.
Executes test plans that validate the accuracy of information and functionality when enterprise event platforms are enhanced.
Assists event managers and the Operations teams with post-event support including reporting needs, data updates, and coordinating across resource teams to ensure data integrity.
Participates in all aspects of production support, upgrades, and new projects implementation. Performs work within a set release schedule.
Provides functional support during project go-lives and busy season including, fiscal year end, Spring Reunion, and Calendar year end. Support includes occasional weekend and holiday times.

Minimum of two (2) years of full-time work experience in a technology or customer service role.
Knowledge of standard PC applications including the Microsoft Office suite, email, and calendar management.
Experience creating written documentation of procedures, processes, or test plans.
Ability to think logically to define a workflow or process.
Excellent customer service skills and dedication to high quality service standards.
Ability to become proficient with the Harvard Development Systems and Harvard Enterprise Engagement Applications.
Familiarity with relational databases, Oracle, and SQL.
Demonstrated ability to identify problems accurately and provide timely solutions.
Ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
Collaborative, conscientious, and results oriented.
Motivated to learn and flexible to change.
