The Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain is looking for a full-time Research Assistant to assist with the performance of the research studies in our lab. This position will entail working with patients with neurodegenerative disease, including frontotemporal dementia, Huntington's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
The role will include coordinating ongoing symptom-treatment clinical trials for frontotemporal dementia as well as NIH-funded observational studies examining biomarkers and positive and negative emotional response systems in patients with dementia.
Duties will include recruiting and scheduling patients, overseeing patients through the duration of clinical medication trials, administering emotion-eliciting tasks, administering neuropsychiatric and neuropsychological testing, working with the IRB and funding agencies, data entry, and data and protocol management.
Bachelor's degree and at least one and one-half years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.
Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques required.
Experience administering psychological tasks is a plus.
