Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Location: Hyde Park Campus
Database construction â“ designing and constructing databases to facilitate the efficient collection, storage, modification, and retrieval of study data
Online surveys and websites â“ creating functional online surveys, maintaining and modifying surveys as needed, regularly extracting data and incorporating it into the larger database, maintaining lab and study websites
Data preparation â“ cleaning, organizing, and formatting large data sets based on lab preferred formatting guidelines
Data reports and output â“ generating ad hoc summary reports and data visualizations, performing basic statistics during ongoing data collection and in preparation for study publications
Data management supervision â“ providing oversight and suggestions to research team in identifying opportunities for data collection improvement, training research staff on data management procedures, providing regular lab in-services, conducting regular integrity checks
Provide research assistance in data collection â“ assist the project coordinator in conduction as-needed participant recruitment efforts, screening of candidates and eligibility determination, and experimental sessions and study visits.Â Coordinate data acquisition and quality assurance of subjective, objective and performance data in onsite studies as well as smartphone-based assessments and online data collection, as needed.
This job provides technical and administrative support in a laboratory environment performing basic laboratory techniques, research and analysis under direction.
Complies with institution, state and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
Performs other related work as needed.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and electronic data capture
Experience in coding and statistical programs (i.e. R, Python, Java, SPSS, STATA, etc.)
Interviewing and conducting experimental sessions in behavioral research
