A postdoctoral research associate position with competitive salary and benefits is available in Dr. Limei Zhang's group for highly motivated candidates who are interested in redox biology, infectious disease and/or structural biology. The Zhang Group applies a suite of interdisciplinary tools to investigate the structure-mechanism relationships of metalloproteins in redox reaction, stress response and antibiotic resistance, with the support of two major federal grants. For more information about the Zhang Group, please visit the website: https://biochem.unl.edu/limei-zhang.
Job responsibilities: We seek a postdoc to investigate the roles and underlying mechanisms of bioactive molecules in metallocluster homeostasis and stress response. The duties of the postdoctoral fellow include independently designing and conducting high-quality research experiments for the assigned project under the supervisor's guidance; analyzing data and drafting manuscripts for publication; taking roles in the lab maintenance with other group members; and assisting the supervisor to mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
