Program Coordinator, Global Health Innovation and Policy - Georgetown University Law Center
The O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University was established in 2007 through the generous philanthropy of Linda and Timothy O'Neill to respond to the need for innovative solutions to the most pressing national and international health concerns. Housed at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C., the O'Neill Institute reflects the importance of public and private law in health policy analysis. The O'Neill Institute draws upon the University's considerable intellectual resources, including the School of Nursing & Health Studies, School of Medicine, the McCourt School of Public Policy, and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics.
The Program Coordinator enables smooth functioning of the O'Neill Institute and its Initiatives, and assists Institute and Initiative staff and leadership with project and administrative needs in a range of administrative tasks and functional areas, including event coordination and management, travel booking and logistics for staff and external partners, financial tracking, invoice processing, budget reconciliation, general research, writing, and copy editing. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator has duties that include but are not limited to:
Manages information, contacts and calendars to facilitate Institutes' project work, using judgment to troubleshoot logistical issues under supervision of Executive Director.
Coordinates travel, events and meetings with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders.
Prepares and assembles documents, presentations, and other materials for various projects.
Coordinates with Communications Team as needed regarding upcoming events and marketing.
Coordinates with Finance Team as needed to ensure smooth financial processes and transactions.
Communication and Collaboration
Facilitates communication among Directors, project team, and external stakeholders,
Works closely with Communications Associate to publicize relevant events, publications, and pertinent information.
Assists with outreach, invitations, and event logistics for Initiative events.
Office & Staff Support
Schedules monthly staff meetings,
Reconciles ProCards and processes expense reports for Executive Director and other senior staff as needed.
Responds to general inquiries about the O'Neill Institute.
Skilled multi-tasker and creative and a natural problem-solver with detail orientation
Experience as an executive assistant or in other support position, a talent for managing information, contacts, calendars, booking travel, and meeting and event planning
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and a working knowledge of both Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems
Knowledge of Georgetown application systems
