Professor And Chair - Radiation Oncology, Memphis - 21000000NE
The University of Tennessee College of Medicine seeks a diverse pool of nominees and applicants for the full-time, tenure-track position of Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology on the main campus of the Health Science Center in Memphis TN. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with an outstanding record of leadership and scholarship in an academic Department of Radiation Oncology, and experience in the education of a diverse array of learners.
The Chair of Radiation Oncology will oversee all activities of the department and will work with the senior COM leadership to define the Departmental objectives in the four core areas of clinical care, education, research, and community engagement. The next Chair must be capable of providing energetic leadership and articulation of a vision for the significant growth and development of this clinical and academic department.
Applicants should hold an M.D. degree or equivalent, be board-certified in radiation oncology, and be eligible for licensure in Tennessee upon appointment. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will possess leadership abilities, professionalism, interpersonal skills, management abilities along with imminent knowledge of current professional trends in radiation oncology and current trends in the professional and business practices of health care systems.
