The Director reports to the Assistant Dean for Curricular Affairs and Special Projects and works closely with the leadership, course/clerkship directors, faculty members and Curriculum Support staff to direct the administrative operations of the educational program. This role includes oversight of planning, organizing, staffing, and evaluating educational program activities, both at the School of Medicine and at Northwell Health.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
â€¢Plans and implements the delivery of the overall educational program and its activities in collaboration with leadership and in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization â€¢Develops new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the office in support of the educational program â€¢Develops and implements long-term goals and objectives, monitor program activities, and recommend changes to enhance success of the educational program â€¢Develops forms and records to document program activities â€¢Recruits, interviews, and selects well-qualified staff members â€¢Maintains personnel files and oversee staff training and performance â€¢Supervises Curriculum Support staff by providing direction, input, and feedback â€¢Communicates with faculty, staff, and students to solicit input and subsequently implement processes to improve the program â€¢Regulates the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency â€¢Oversees student performance assessment activities, exam administration and grading, and oversee the communication of final grades to students, course directors, and Registrar â€¢Manages the program evaluation process and work with leadership to implement change based on evaluation data as appropriate
