Provide high quality customer service to students and faculty at the college's off-campus site in Christiansburg; assist with registration of students for college classes; assist with financial aid applications and collect tuition payments. Support the college's Distance Education program; administer tests; collect assignments; proctor tests for students from other colleges. Assist customers with access and use of a variety of software programs on the college's academic computing network; assist faculty in the use of electronic classrooms; and open and close the site as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Work hours are limited to 29 hours per week and no more than 1500 hours per year. Work schedule to include afternoon, night and weekend hours. Current NRCC students ineligible due to access to tests.
Associate degree or combination of work experience and coursework that would be equivalent to an associate degree. Demonstrated ability to use various computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population including students, faculty, staff and the general public in a professional environment.
