Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid and Veteran's Certifying Official, responsibilities include general financial aid duties including; processing state, federal, and local financial aid assistance programs, providing high quality customer service to internal and external constituencies, serves as principal student loan processor and will work with veterans to meet their financial and enrollment needs. Perform supportive level duties to maintain office structure and continual flow of work. Duties include:
Assisting veterans with completing certification requests and supporting paperwork.
Run monthly reports to verify Veteran enrollment.
Verify grades and academic status at end of term for Veterans and make changes as required.
Schedule and maintain FAFSA completion appointments.
Run reports and assist the Director of Financial Aid with all review and disbursement of Financial Aid funds.
Process student loan requests.
Send loan communications required to maintain compliance with federal regulations.
Assist all walk-in customers and schedules appointments.
Manually process Second Chance PELL Experiment applications and awards.
Bachelor's degree in related field; a strong sense of customer/client service; strong attention to detail; strong computer capabilities; commitment to the community college mission as well as knowledge of community college student needs; and comfort working with student and financial software applications.
