Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position. The full-time position is available at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level.
As director of clinical research, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the clinical research in the department. He/She will work with pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students and faculty in the preparation of research protocols, IRB compliance, conducting research, manuscript preparation and abstract presentations. Responsibilities include research, scholarly activity, service in faculty affairs and on administrative committees in the department and school.
A DMD/DDS from an ADA accredited dental program or foreign equivalent and/or higher education degree is required. A 3-5-year minimum experience in clinical research is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with an external funding portfolio and an excellent record of publications reflecting independent and/or collaborative research programs, especially those who could contribute to existing departmental and institutional research.
This is a full-time faculty position. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
