Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
The Sr. Research Program Coordinator II (SRPC) will assist with the overall coordination of the activities within the MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership immunization portfolio. Each activity has a designated lead who are mostly IVAC faculty and staff, Hopkins students and external consultants. The SRPC will work collaboratively with the activity leads to track the pace and progress on tasks, deliverables and milestones. The SRPC will maintain an overarching dashboard of weekly deliverables and outputs for all activities based on input from activity leads. He or she will send weekly updates on the status of activity implementation to the respective teams, and monthly summary of outputs and upcoming activities to the immunization team to create opportunities for cross-activity collaboration and synergies. The SRPC will be responsible for scheduling and tracking internal project meetings to ensure all activities have regular touch points amongst the individuals involved and with The Project's Immunization Director/Principal Investigator. The SRPC will ensure that communication across sub-teams is robust and regular to improve visibility and accountability. He or she will be responsible for coordination with the broader MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership project management staff to ensure the IVAC immunization team know about, and respond to the relevant project-level processes and requirements on documentation, archiving, branding and marking, publication management, external presentations and communication protocols. The SRPC will be primarily responsible for coordinating input, documents or slide set from activity leads to generate monthly updates to USAID, quarterly reports to The Project and any other ad hoc report or product that may be requested by project stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute intellectually to the conceptualization, execution, and publications of activities as appropriate. He or she may take responsibility to lead one or two activities as time, interests, and skills permit.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule regular meetings with activity teams, MCGL partners and USAID to track progress and plan activities
Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary
Ensure meeting minutes are taken and circulated in a timely manner
Keep program documents organized and up to date, including presentations, reports, meeting minutes, recruitment documents, project management and coordination SOPs, consultant's scope of works, concept notes,
Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored
Project planning and monitoring
Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and new information
Develop Gantt charts to assist in planning and implementation of various project activities
Track progress of project activities and outcomes and with activity leads to keep workflow on track
Develop job descriptions and coordinate student hiring process, including scheduling interviews and assembling interview materials for panelists
Draft documents and processes for recruitment of additional personnel
Serve as liaison with MCGL partner program assistants and project officers to coordinate MCGL-wide initiatives or tasks.
Coordinate input, documents or slide set from activity leads to generate monthly updates to USAID
Collate contributions from activity leads and compile quarterly activity reports
Research and technical support
Assist with desk reviews, drafting concept notes, creating templates, drafting SOPs, study protocols and other tasks assigned by the PI
Minimum Qualifications (mandatory):
Bachelor degree in a related discipline public health or related field
5 years related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Master degree in public health or related field
Related project coordination work experience.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different projects.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Understanding of vaccines and public health.
Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of qualitative research principles and training preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent team management. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
