Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
Handles the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting needs for multiple entities including processes related to bank, money market and general ledger reconciliations, month-end close, as well as financial reporting and analysis.
Reviews and approves A/P expense vouchers for multiple entities and clients.
Generate ACH and wire payments or receipts across multiple entities.
Manage WKUF multiple credit cards.
Provide monthly reports to approx. 200 account administrators. Answer account administration questions related to these reports and their accounts. Train account administrators on Foundation spending policies, donor agreement / purpose, account balances and classification, EPAFs, etc.
Resolve and respond to department and other customer questions related to accounts payable expense vouchers.
Prepare journal entries for month and year-end close and perform close processes.
Prepare Sales & Use Tax Returns.
Prepare 1099s at year-end and maintain W-9s for each client.
Keep Corporate Resolutions and Authorized Signers updated for all entities.
Train and become a Blackbaud software administrator expert for updating accounts, projects, reports, tables, queries and queues. Develop new reporting to mitigate manual information gathering activities across the accounting requests.
Maintain files (digital and hard copy) for >1k projects. Update files according to guidelines as changes are made and new funds are created.
Serve as PCI compliance auditor.
Serve as coordinator to routinely audit for fund compliance and document.
Assist in developing and documenting processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
Review and provide second verification and sign-offs, where applicable, for stronger internal control.
Prepare audit schedules and assist with the preparation for annual audits.
Assist in gathering information and reports for quarterly meetings.
Collaborate with company management and other team members to ensure all clients expectations are met and exceeded.
Timely and effective communication, meet deadlines and deliverables, and provide value through exceptional accounting services and support.
Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Train and serve as backup and coverage for other accounting personnel.
Assist team members at Foundation as requested. Perform general administrative tasks, as required.
Reports to the Chief Financial Officer of the Foundations.

Salary Grade: 108 Salary Range: $48,000-$53,000
